I am a PhD researcher at the University of Aberdeen working on fishers' decision-making in response to fishing closures. I have been awarded a Travelling Fellowship from the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust. In 2012 I will travel to Seattle to learn about the implmentation and management of temporary fishing area closures and approaches to participatory fisheries management in the States compared to Scotland.
